Cabonara Spaghetti
Ingredients
200 g | spaghetti |
100 g | tops bacon, cut into pieces |
1 | onion, coarsely chopped |
4 cloves | garlic, chopped |
1 tbs | My Choice honey |
10 g | butter |
1 tbsp | Cooking for Fun olive oil |
150 ml | cream |
1 | Cooking for Fun egg |
60 g | Parmesan cheese, grated |
bacon bits | |
salt and pepper to taste |
Method
- Cook spaghetti in a boiling water with a pinch of salt according to instruction on a pack. when it is well cooked, strain, mix with olive oil, and set aside
- Combine cream, egg, 50 g of Parmesan cheese together in a bowl. Stir well; season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a saucepan over a medium heat. melt butter and add onion to sauteé until fragrant. Fold in bacon to crispy fry and follow with garlic to stir-fry until translucent.
- Once garlic turns crispy, combine spaghetti and cream mixture together. turn off the heat immediately. Stir the cream to mix with pasta very quickly. transfer the pasta to a plate. Sprinkle with the rest of Parmesan cheese and bacon bits. ready to serve.
