Sloppy Joe


1 tbs Cooking for Fun olive oil
550 g minced beef sirloin
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tbs steak seasoning powder
1 chopped onion
1 chopped red bell pepper
1 tbs red wine vinegar
1 tbs worcestershire sauce
2 cups My Choice tomato sauce
2 tbs concentrated tomato paste
4 hamburger buns


  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add in the beef and stir to separate the meat. season with brown sugar and steak seasoning. Brown the beef, then add in onion and bell pepper.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium and continue to sauté until the onion and bell pepper are cooked. then add red wine vinegar and worcestershire sauce. sauté for another 5 minutes before adding in the tomato sauce and paste. reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes until thickened. set aside.
  3. Toast the burger buns. spoon the mixture onto the buns and close the sandwich with the top buns. serve with a side of salad.
